Overview
Ayase is located in the north area of Tokyo, and the station is next to Kitasenju, the north edge of Hibiya line. A bit far from the Tokyo city central but the access to the districts is not bad as Ayase takes on the Chiyoda line of Tokyo metro, where it takes approx. 20 minutes to Otemachi. You can take JR loop line at Nishi nippori from Chiyoda line then you can get access to the other major locations in Tokyo.
Ayase is mainly for family, where the rent is not so expensive, but it is not so quiet place. The station around is busy in the morning, and there are a lot of Izakaya places. Especially, Adachi-ku, Ayase station is located in, is an origin of Motsu-yaki, and Shochu Highball. You should be able to find many good and cheap Izakaya there.
Ayase is under development where in front of Ayase station Mitsui residence tower has been under construction. Also, Ayase has many parks and play yards for kids. If you take a bus or car for a bit more from the Ayase you can get Mizumoto park, one of the biggest government parks in Tokyo, where you can enjoy the nature, greens, flowers, the seasons in Japan. See the pic attached.

Describe your favorite shops, restaurants, parks etc. in this area
-Restrants
This place is very good
https://g.page/kawaraya_ayase?share
Lunch and dinner both are perfect for casual dinning with friends
-Parks
Mizumoto park is very popular among people living there. Especially famous for Iris thru early summer, maybe May to Jun? Some festivals are occurred
-Shops
Ario Kameari, a big shopping center around the area, is very busy on weekends
What I don’t like this area
Adachi-ku including Ayase is wetlands. Poor drainage on rainy days, and I am a bit concerned for disaster especially heavy rains. The ground is weak so you should be careful if you buy or invest on property there.
Other things I would like to mention
I recommend Ayase if you like parks and greens as well as the access to the city.
