Living experience review of Chitose funabashi / Odakyu line

Overview

Chitosefunabashi area is absolutely for family. I have seen many families with kids.
There are some schools and parks, also the area is not busy and I felt safe so I think it is good place for parenting. Moreover, most of area is residential area and quiet. There is only 1 pachinko shop is also positive for keep environment nicer.
Not too far from central Tokyo. It takes around 20 mins to Shinjuku and Shibuya. Odakyu line has direct connected to Chiyoda line as well so you can go to Harajuku, Omotesando, Akasaka, Otemachi easily.

Favorite shops, restaurants, parks etc. in this area

There is a great coffee shop called Horiguchi coffee near the Chitosefunabashi station. I miss their coffee. My favorite Yakiniku(BBQ) restaurant in this area called Yakiniku hayama. It is far from the station but they serve great Sanda beef and atmosphere is very Japanese. Also if you have a car or bicycle, easily to get to Kinuta park. If you like walking it is walking distance as well.

What I don’t like this area

If you like drinking and enjoy night life, you might feel short on fun.
Sometimes I felt there are too many people at the station especially in the morning and at night and many people are chatting in front of entrance of station.

Other things I would like to mention

Good to have 2 big super markets near the station. One is very close to the station and the another one is on Kanpachi. Tokyo Equestrian Park is also nice and Starbacks with book shop(Tsutaya) is nearby. You can read some books before you buy.
